• Please
keep in mind that human hair extensions are not natural hair.
•
Although this is human hair and it is attached to natural hair, it does not
get fed the same nutrients, natural oils, etc. as human hair on the
head.
• Post care is vital to the longevity of the hair
extensions; hair extensions rely on how it is treated externally.
• Use of hot tools should be limited.
• Many types of haircare products
that work well are not the usual products you would recommend for hair
without hair extensions.
• Hair extension wearers report great results from
products that leave a little protective coating on the hair.
• The benefit of having human hair extensions is that is closely matches
natural hair and can respond to heat tools, elements, and human hair products
including hair color the same as human hair.
• Because human hair comes
from different donors at different times it can be challenging to always
produce identical hair every single time.
• As opposed to man-made hair
which can be made exactly the same and the quality control is very easy, but
the man-made hair does match as well or look as natural as human hair and
can't tolerate heat tools, elements, and hair products formulated for human
hair.
• Please make sure that the client
is not applying excess heat to the bonds and they are using sulfate-free
shampoos.
• Although the hair is human, the
hair has been factory colored and treated so that the hair is tangle-free.
• We recommend that the hair extensions are not re-colored.
• For maximum wear, please follow
the instructions carefully and take care of your hair.
• The longevity of
the hair is variable dependent upon many factors:
• how the
hair is worn and under what conditions
• how the hair is cared for on a
daily basis, the environment in which the hair is worn.
• The life
expectancy of the hair could be 2 weeks to 12 weeks, or even longer.
extension hair care instructions:
●
The hair extension hair has been previously
factory processed and sealed to color/texture the hair and it is not
recommended to alter this with any other form of chemical process; this may
harm the hair and/or the keratin tips and we cannot be responsible for the
damage it may cause.
● When combing hair, always work from the bottom up
securing the hair with one hand. Do not brush or comb hair upside-down.
●
Remove all tangles prior to shampooing
●
Shampoo hair in a downward motion. Use your
fingers in a horizontal motion in between extensions to cleanse scalp. Do not
mix hair together, do not wash hair upside-down, do not use a circular motion
to lather hair, do not use hot water.
●
Apply creamy conditioner to the hair from
the mid-shaft down to the ends to prevent slippage at the root.
● When rinsing, rinse thoroughly making sure all residues
are rinsed out, rinse with cool water.
●
Although the hair extensions are real hair,
it is not root-based and does not receive the same nutrients and oils as your
natural hair. Please be aware, the more you use heat on your hair, the
shorter the life-span of the hair extensions. If you do use heat on your
hair, use a low setting and apply a protectant.
●
At bed-time, braid your hair into a loose
ponytail to the side. Do not sleep with wet hair.
●
The average head sheds approximately 100
hairs a day, use a maintenance brush to free them and your finger-tips to
keep hair extensions from twisting together.
●
To prevent breakage, please be gentle when
wearing hair extensions.
● To
prevent matting and tangling at root area, use a maintenance brush by
inserting brush at root and brush down to top of link.
● Just as your natural hair sheds, hair extensions shed
also.
●
Failure to adhere to these directions will
shorten the life-span of you hair extensions.
